Brian Box began his career in law enforcement in 2004. After serving in the US Army as a medical evacuation pilot he joined the Carrollton Police Department where he served as a patrol officer, motorcycle officer, crash investigator, and SWAT Team member. In 2014 he was promoted to sergeant, serving in patrol and as the department’s training coordinator until honorably retiring in 2019. Brian returned to the Carrollton Police Department as a Reserve Officer in 2024.
Brian holds a Master Peace Officer certification and a TCOLE
instructor certificate. During his career he was awarded numerous awards and commendations including two police achievement awards and officer of the month. He served as the president for the Carrollton Police Officer Association. After retirement, he
reengaged his passion for flying and served as both a commercial airline pilot for a regional airline and a medical helicopter pilot. After two years as a part-time advisor, Brian is now dedicated full-time to serving first responders and their families as a wealth manager.
Brian was taught the importance of planning for retirement from his parents. Upon his mother’s death, he also learned the struggles of his parent’s credit card debt. He eventually took responsibility for caring for his father’s finances to ensure his father was secure in retirement. His parents’ credit card debt and their mounting medical expenses opened his eyes and changed his perspective on personal finances. In 2017 he was instrumental in bringing mandatory financial wellness training to Carrollton PD, sparking a passion for helping others navigate the complexities of financial wellness and planning. Brian continues training first responders on managing finances and planning for retirement.
